The Buehler Turbocraft brand – famous for appearing in the James Bond movie Thunderball and which boasts the Kennedy family amongst its owners – is back with a new superyacht tender.
The Thunderclap 38 is the first proposed model from the revived brand. “Buehler Turbocraft boats were sleek, leading edge and very upscale. We have vowed to bring the brand back – new and better than ever,” says John Clapot, who owns Buehler Turbocraft.
Hull No.1 will be cold-moulded and has a design speed of 41 knots with its signature jet-drives, and features a vee-berth cabin forward. The yard is waiting for the first order to turn the designs into reality.
