Jongert‘s 38-metre steel schooner Gloria has relaunched after a refit at the Pendennis yard in Falmouth.

The three-month job incorporated substantial reworking of the yacht’s rigging with Tim Haynes Ltd. This involved removal of her masts before the rig was stripped of fittings and painted, and a new standing rigging was installed.

The yacht, built in 1985, soon heads to the Mediterranean and in currently lying in Port Pendennis Marina.

Asked why the owner chose Pendennis for the refit, Captain James Box explained: “The owner of Gloria was keen to support British industry. The end result has shown that the quality of workmanship and level of professionalism have been second to none and proved Pendennis’s world-class standards in superyacht refit”.
