The explorer yachts come in a range of sizes from 30-metres to 65-metres

Marimecs has introduced its Manta Series range of explorer superyachts, which the firm believes will suit the modern owners in today’s market. “Explorer yacht owners are today’s yachting adventurers. In general they are experienced yacht owners who know how they will use the yacht and what they will not use it for. The yacht’s interior and exterior spaces are carefully designed to match a typical explorer’s wishes, in the initial layout there is room left for personalization and specific requirements,” says the company. The range is being sold through Yacht & Villa.

The yachts come in sizes ranging from 30-metres to 65-metres, and will be built at the Eurocraft facility in Savona, in northern Italy. The full-displacement yachts will be built in steel and aluminium and have a range of 4000-5000 nautical miles with a focus on excellent sea-keeping, quiet operation and low fuel consumption.

“Explorer yacht design has always been one of our favourite fields of work, and this design series is based on those decades of practical, as well as artistic experience. In short: ‘A lot of yacht for a reasonable price,'” says Willem Stolk, founder of Marimecs.

The layout on board the Manta Series of yachts has been configured to be practical as well as suit the modern superyacht lifestyle, although there is scope for adaptations of spaces to suit the owner.

On the 65-metre Manta, there is a large VIP suit forward on the main deck. Full beam, it benefits from large windows, while aft there is a dining space and general lounging areas. On the aft deck is storage for tenders and toys, which the company says eliminates the cost of expensive tender garages and complex launching equipment.

On the deck above is a large owner’s suite, as well as a wellness space with sauna, gym and massage facilities, while aft is a salon and outdoor entertaining area. As befits an explorer yacht, there is also plenty of lounging space on the bridge deck, perfect for seeing the sight from. There is a large bridge with a corner lounger so guests can be right at the centre of the action, while aft is another salon which has large windows so as not to miss any of the impressive views and easy access to the bridge.

The sundeck is a true superyacht space, with a spa pool surrounded by huge sun pads, a bar and plenty of deck chairs. The lower houses a further four guest cabins, and an undefined space aft can be left to the owner to configure, with options such as a beach club or water toy storage.

The 65-metre model will have a generous beam of 11.5-metres. The top speed is slated to be 16 knots with a cruising speed of 13 knots and a range of 5000 nautical miles.
