We asked Bernardo Zuccon
What is your favourite example of contemporary design?
It’s curious, but to find my favourite example of contemporary design, we need to go back more than a century to the architect Antonio Sant’Elia’s sketches of his ‘new towns’. He was talking about a future still far from today, but he thought about it in the early 1900s.
And something cultural which inspires you?
A quote from Mark Twain: “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you did not do than by the ones you did. Catch the wind in your sails, explore, dream, discover.”
Your favourite location?
The sea is the essence of my dreams and inspirations.
Which yacht from your own portfolio are you most proud of?
The next one!

What is your favourite example of contemporary design?
The Yad Vashem Holocaust History Museum in Jerusalem, designed by Safdie Architects in 2005: a memorial space that is essential, quiet and perfectly integrated into the environment.
And something cultural which inspires you?
Chopin’s piano nocturnes, the most expressive and emotional musical compositions. He was truly ‘the piano poet’.
Your favourite location?
There isn’t one particular location that inspires me, but it is the general condition of discovery, research and travel that makes the mind more active and open.
Which yacht from your own portfolio are you most proud of?
The Ferretti 720 – a boat that balances the tradition of the brand with the need for innovation.
