The charter adventures of the 50-metre Plan B continue with a voyage to the Juan Fernandez Archipelago

With three circumnavigations under her hull, the 50-metre explorer yacht Plan B is one of the more intriguing charter propositions on the market. Her latest off-the-grid adventure this spring is to the Juan Fernandez Islands off Chile. The volcanic Juan Fernandez Archipelago (a Unesco World Heritage Site), boasts abundant indigenous plant life, fur seals, fire-crown hummingbirds and more. She’s available through Ocean Independence from $195,000 per week. The yacht is booked until March 20 but there is availability after that.

“Few vessels of this size have such volumes, allowing guests to cruise just about anywhere in the world so comfortably,” says Daphne d’Offay, senior charter broker at Ocean Independence. Plan B is set for further adventures in April cruising Easter Island and in May with a booking in Rikitea, French Polynesia.

Plan B

Plan B was originally launched in 1973 as HMAS Flinders for the Australian Navy, where she served as a survey vessel before being decommissioned in 1998. Her transformation into a superyacht took place initially in New Zealand, before her current owner transformed her once again to the yacht you see now.
