A sublime example of superyacht design that looks as stunning on the water today as she did when she launched in 2007. The yacht scored very highly in our poll of the most beautiful superyachts on the water

ALFA NERO

Yard Oceanco Year 2007 LOA 81.3m Designer Nuvolari Lenard

Why is she so special? There’s a wonderfully balanced feeling to the exterior of Alfa Nero, with the superstructure giving way to vast deck spaces, while the sweeping stairs aft cascade to a terraced transom with the signature infinity pool overlooking it all. “Alfa Nero represents the culmination of a lifetime of yachting,” her owner says. “I wanted something that departed from convention but didn’t compromise aesthetics or practical issues – a yacht that would take into consideration my needs, as well as the needs of my guests and crew.” She was the star of the 2007 Monaco Yacht Show, where her lack of hard styling edges, the Alberto Pinto interior, and the balance of inside and outside areas impressed all who saw the yacht. We’ll leave the last word to her owner: “She is a beautiful book: the more you ‘read’, the more insight you gain. The pleasure is in the discovery. Oceanco truly lived up to its motto: ‘yachts for visionary owners’.”

Where is she now? On charter with Royale Oceanic from €840,000 per week.
