Why is she so special? A unique blue hull and long elegant bow make Madame Gu stand out in any port. The multi-coloured after-dark light show from on deck and below the waterline is also a giveaway that this stunning Feadship is in town. At the time of her launch she was the largest superyacht to be built in Holland, and she is still one of the most secretive. She is capable of a staggering 24 knots, thanks to her efficient and slender hull form and quadruple MTUs driving controllable-pitch propellers. Included in the owner’s requests was a fully enclosed hangar for a helicopter with matching livery. The steel and aluminium yacht was built at the Dutch yard’s Makkum facility and launched at the beginning of 2013. Since then, she has cruised the Mediterranean and is most often spotted around the hotspots of the French Riviera.

“Madame Gu’s speed, size, technical complexity and levels of exterior and interior detailing make her a record-breaker and brave obliterator of industry conventions, taking motor yacht design to new territories,” says Andrew Winch, whose design studio took care of the interior, exterior and also the interior of the helicopter.

The yacht accommodates 12 guests and 33 crew.

Where is she now?: Extensive private cruising, mainly in the Med.
