While lounging in the hot-tub on your superyacht’s sundeck is wonderful, sometimes you want to be closer to the water as you relax. That’s where the Hot-Tug, designed in Rotterdam by Supergoed, comes in. Heated to a temperature of 38C/100F by a wood-burning stove, it’s filled with 2000 litres of water (which takes a couple of hours to heat up) and seats six to eight people.
The UK’s first hot-tug is now in action at the Runnymede-on-Thames Hotel and Spa near Egham in Surrey, about 20 miles west of central London. An hour’s cruise costs £90.
The hot-tug is can be purchased from €14,950 to €19,950 from www.hottug.nl
The hot-tub cruises at a leisurely pace of 3mph.
